PILLERS OF ISLAM
Narrated By Ibn 'Umar: Allah's
Apostle said: ISLAM is based on
(the following) five (principles):
1. To testify that none has the
right to be worshipped but Allah
and Muhammad is Allah's Apostle.
2. To offer the (compulsory
congregational) prayers dutifully
and perfectly.
3. To pay Zakat. (i.e. obligatory
charity)
4. To perform Hajj. (i.e. Pilgrimage
to Mecca)
5. To observe fast during the
month of Ramadan.

1) Concept of Allah(God).
"Say: He is Allah, the One and
Only,Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He
begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
And there is none like unto Him. "
[Al-Qur'an Ch 112 Verse 1-4]
II.Mohammed(pbu h) messenger
of Allah;
Allah says in the Qur'an ;
"We sent thee not, but as a Mercy
for all creatures."
[Al-Qur'an Ch 21 Verse 107]
& [Al-Qur'an Ch 34 Verse 28]
"Obey Allah and Obey the
Messenger(Moham med(pbuh))"
[Al-Qur'an ch 3 Verse 32 and 132]
2) SALAH(Namaz, prayers):
Allah commanded for the prayers
in Qur'an :
And establish regular prayers at
the two ends of the day and at
the approaches of the night: For
those things, that are good
remove those that are evil: Be that
the word of remembrance to
those who remember (their Lord):
[Al-Qur'an Ch 11 Verse 114] & Ch
17 verse 78 , Ch 20 Verse 130, Ch
30 Verse 17}
"The thing that differenciate
between momeen and Kafir, is
Salah,
Momeen offer salah and kafir
don't"
[Sahimuslimvol 1 ch 36 hadith
147]
3)Zakat:
Allah says in the Qur'an :
"What Allah has bestowed on His
Messenger (and taken away) from
the people of the townships,-
belongs to Allah,- to His
Messenger and to kindred and
orphans, the needy and the
wayfarer; In order that it may not
(merely) make a circuit between
the wealthy among you. So take
what the Messenger assigns to
you, and deny yourselves that
which he withholds from you.
And fear Allah; for Allah is strict in
Punishment. "
[Al-Qur'an ch 59 Verse 7]
if any one having a saving of 8.5
gram of gold or equal of amount
he or she should give 2.5 % of
amount on that saving to the
poor people every lunar year.
Alms are for the poor and the
needy, and those employed to
administer the (funds); for those
whose hearts have been (recently)
reconciled (to Truth); for those in
bondage and in debt; in the cause
of Allah; and for the wayfarer:
(thus is it) ordained by Allah, and
Allah is full of knowledge and
wisdom.
[Al-Qur'an Ch 9 Verse 60]
4) HAJI(pilgrimage ):
The first House (of worship)
appointed for men was that at
Bakka: Full of blessing and of
guidance for all kinds of beings:
[Al-Qur'an Ch 3 Verse 96]
Glory to (Allah) Who did take His
servant for a Journey by night
from the Sacred Mosque to the
farthest Mosque, whose precincts
We did bless,-
[Al-Qur'an Ch 17 Verse 1]
He or She(with maharram only)
who is financial and physically
strong for them performing haji
become compuslary.
5)FASTING :
Allah says in the Qur'an:
O ye who believe! Fasting is
prescribed to you as it was
prescribed to those before you,
that ye may (learn) self-restraint, -
[Al-Qur'an Ch 2 Verse 183]
Ramadhan is the (month) in
which was sent down the Qur'an,
as a guide to mankind, also clear
(Signs) for guidance and
judgment (Between right and
wrong). So every one of you who
is present (at his home) during
that month should spend it in
fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a
journey, the prescribed period
(Should be made up) by days later.
Allah intends every facility for you;
He does not want to put to
difficulties. (He wants you) to
complete the prescribed period,
and to glorify Him in that He has
guided you; and perchance ye
shall be grateful.
[Al-Qur'an Ch 2 verse 183]
Narrated By Abu Huraira: Allah's
Apostle said, "Whoever observes
fasts during the month of
RAMADAN out of sincere faith, and
hoping to attain Allah's rewards,
then all his past sins will be
forgiven."
