DIVINE FAITH
Deep in the sea are riches beyond compare…
But if you seek safety…it is on the shore! A
ship in the harbour is safe…but that’s not
what ships are built for! Most religious people
have embraced the Divine Faith harbouring
false hopes! Shariah means being on the right
track. Even on the right track…you’ll get run
over…if you just sit there!!!
They fail to understand that an empty
valueless ‘touch n go card’ would not trigger
the gates to be opened…while a minimum
top-up would only entitle them to travel a very
short distant! They have to be perfectly sure
that their topping-up will definitely get them
thro’…with HIS Grace and Mercy!
Why continue to live with false hopes and
empty dreams when you can make living a
better reality! Don’t leave impressions like an
oar upon the water! Islam never meant you to
be such…You cannot discover oceans unless…
you have the courage to leave the shore…!!!
If an egg is broken by outside force…life
ends…if it breaks from within…LIFE Begins…
GREAT things always begin from within…it will
take time, dedication, will-power, sacrifice
and action…to reach your goal…GO FOR ALLAH
(SWT)…you will get HIM…In sha Allah…
AMEEN!!!

The Wedding Ceremony (Nikaah)
Components
1 – Consent: ‘Aishah(R) asked Prophet
Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi was sallam) if
women must be asked for their permission of
marriage. Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu
alayhi was sallam) replied, "Yes. " She said,
‘The virgin is asked for her permission but
she gets shy. Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu
alayhi was sallam) said, "Her silence is her
permission. " (Bukhari and Muslim)
2 – The Wallee (Woman’s Guardian): Prophet
Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi was sallam) said,
"There is no nikaah except with a wallee.
" ( Ahmad , Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi)
3 – Two Witnesses: Prophet Muhammad
(sallallahu alayhi was sallam) said, "There is no
marriage except with a wallee and
trustworthy witnesses. " (Sahih- Bayhaqee)
Also, "There is no marriage except with a
wallee and two witnesses. " (Sahih Al-Jaami’)
4 – The Mahr (Dowry): Allah says (what
means): "And give to the women their dowry
with a good heart, but if they out of their
own good pleasure remit any part of it to you,
take it and enjoy it without fear of any harm.
" (Al-Nisa4:4) The mahr can be of any amount,
Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi was
sallam) said, "Look for one even if it was an
iron ring. " (Bukhari and Muslim)
The woman is not obliged to give the man
anything at the time of the wedding, as is
done in some cultures.
Acts to be Avoided
We should be careful to not act as the
disbelievers do regarding their mixing of men
and women, wearing tuxedos and white
wedding gowns, exchanging rings, kissing in
public, etc. Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu
alayhi was sallam) said, "Whoever resembles a
people is one of them. " (Abu Dawood) —

The Pious Husband:
Marriage to him is one half of the Deen,
To please ALLAH ( ﺳﺒﺤﺎﻧﻪ ﻭﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ) is more than a
dream.
He wears his beard for his Lord, to please and
obey,
He turns to ALLAH ( ﺳﺒﺤﺎﻧﻪ ﻭﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ) for Sal'ah at
least five times a day.
He prays in the night and makes sure to wake
you,
And strives during daylight to provide and
protect you.
He lowers his gaze with firmness because he
does not desire,
To displeased ALLAH ( ﺳﺒﺤﺎﻧﻪ ﻭﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ) and face
His just ire,
He asks advice from the Umm'ah, and his wife
too,
Before making decisions that he might later
rue.
To his wife he is humble and always most
kind,
Sharing his burdens with strength and clear
mind.
He opens his mouth only to say what is best,
Weighing all options ? fore denying a request.
He takes care of himself and family too
Knowing that ALLAH ( ﺳﺒﺤﺎﻧﻪ ﻭﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ) will see
them through.
He is a pleasure from ALLAH (ﺳﺒﺤﺎﻧﻪ ﻭﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ)
above
Be thankful to ALLAH (ﺳﺒﺤﺎﻧﻪ ﻭﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ) and His
blessings through love...

Marriage: A Religious Requirement
Marriage in Islam is recommended as a
religious requirement.
“Marry those among you who are single and
(marry) your slaves, male and female, that are
righteous” (Quran 24:32)
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) declared:
“When the servant of Allah marries, he has
fulfilled half the (responsibilities laid on him
by the) faith; so let him be God conscious
with respect to the other half”. (Mishkat)
Marriage has also been commended as the
way of the prophets.
“We indeed sent messengers before you (O
Muhammad), and We assigned them wives
and children”. (Quran 13:38)
Marriage, in fact, is specifically considered the
tradition (sunnah) of Prophet Muhammad
(pbuh) when he declared:
“Marriage is my Sunnah, whoever disregards
my (sunnah) path is not from among us”. (ibn
Majah)
Islam discourages celibacy and encourages
marriage, as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
recommended:
“Whoever is able to marry, should marry”.

10 Tips on How to be a Successful Wife
1.) Use your ‘Fitnah’ (beauty and overtures of
allurement) to win the heart of your husband.
All women have the ornaments that Allah
blessed them with. Use the beauty Allah SWT
has bestowed you with to win the heart of
your husband. Dress up for your husband at
home. Wear the colours and clothes that he
likes to see you in and use makeup, perfume,
jewellery - in short, whatever it takes to be
attractive to him. From the early years, little
girls have adorned themselves with earrings
and bracelets and worn pretty dresses - as
described in the Qur’an. Continue this
tradition as a wife.
2.) Be sensitive to his moods, feelings and
needs. For example, don’t start complaining
or burden him with problems as soon as he
comes home; rather, welcome him and make
him feel good to be home. Imagine your
husband coming home to a clean house, an
exquisitely dressed wife, a dinner prepared
with care, children clean and sweet smelling,
a clean bedroom - what would this do to his
love for you? Now imagine what the opposite
does to him.
3.) Review the characteristics of the Hoor Al-
Ayn (women of jannah), and try to imitate
them. The Qur’an and Sunnah describe the
women in jannah with certain characteristics.
Such as the silk they wear, their large dark
eyes, their singing to their husband, etc. Try it,
wear silk for your husband, put Kohl in your
eyes to ‘enlarge’ them, and sing to your
husband.
4.) Do things together or at least allocate
some time of the day to give him your
undivided attention. Be sincere in
appreciating him, show interest in his day, his
activities, his thoughts and opinions. Give him
advice and comfort him when needed. Spend
your husband’s money carefully and try to
keep him informed of where his money is
being spent. Remember not to spend large
amounts of his money without his
permission. Show caring and concern for his
relatives as this is a sure way of securing a
place in his heart. Never object when he
spends on them, as this is a source of
abundance in provision and increase in life
span.
5.) Joke and play games with your husband. A
mans secret: they seek women who are light-
hearted and have a sense of humour. As
Rasulullah SAW told Jabir to marry someone
who would make him laugh and he would
make her laugh. Be cheerful and humorous,
smile often, don’t feel shy to be affectionate
with your husband and make him feel really
happy to be around you. Express your love
frequently and creatively, rather than waiting
for him to do so first.
6.) Be grateful to your husband. Remind
yourself that it’s a tough world out there and
your husband works very hard to provide for
you. So whatever you do, don’t compare him
to other men, unless it is favourably. Thank
your husband constantly for the nice things
he does. Let him know that you appreciate his
efforts, not just through your words, but also
your actions. This is one of the most
important techniques, as the opposite is a
characteristic of the women of hellfire.
7.) Don’t fly into a rage when you have a
difference of opinion or he criticizes you. Stay
calm, control your tongue and don’t challenge
your husband’s authority at that time. Use
your wisdom, tactics and powers of
persuasion later to try to explain your point of
view. Believe the best, not the worst about
him. Be forgiving and accept apologies
graciously rather than holding grudges and
bringing up mistakes of the past. An
argument is a fire in the house. Extinguish it
with a simple ‘I’m sorry’ even if it is not your
fault. When you fight back, you are only
adding wood to the fire. Watch how sweetly
an argument will end when you just say
sincerely, “Look, I’m sorry. Let’s be friends.”
8.) Always seek to please your husband, for
he is your key to jannah. Rasulullah SAW
taught us that any women who dies in a state
where her husband is pleased with her, shall
enter jannah. So please him. Simple things like
serve him the foods he likes, remembering
that variety is the spice of life. Try to eat
together as this fosters companionship.
9.) Listen and Obey! Obeying your husband is
fard (obligatory). Remember that your
husband is the head of the family and as long
as obedience to him does not entail any sin, it
is your duty to obey him. Show respect for
your husband by not divulging your private
and confidential issues to others, or by
complaining about him to people or
discussing your marital problems with those
who cannot help you.
10.) Make dua to Allah SWT to make your
marriage and relationship successful. All good
things are from Allah. Never forget to ask
Allah SWT for the blessing of having a
successful marriage that begins in this dunya
and continues on - by the Mercy of Allah SWT
into jannah.
May Allah SWT give us the favour of changing
what we can change (like ourselves), patience
with what we cannot change (like our
spouse), and the wisdom to understand the
difference. Whatever truth is in it is from Allah
and His Messenger, and whatever mistakes
are from the shaytaan and myself; And Allah
and His Messenger are absolved from it.

Everything that happens comes about
through Allah's command of "Be." At every
second, every thing and scene that appears
before us is created through Allah's will.
Nothing is left to its own devices, for
everything is created for the destiny that Allah
has determined for it.
Believers who are aware of this do not lose
hope, even when facing the most negative
situations or the most distressing events, in
Allah's mercy or help. Those who are patient
in hardship, do not lose hope, and never
compromise Allah's laws have been given
glad tidings in both this world and the
Hereafter.
The Qur'an portrays believers as being in a
constant spiritual state of hopefulness toward
Allah. Sincere believers will know and
appreciate our Lord as the Qur'an describes
Him and, as a result, will realize the mercy and
favors that He has bestowed upon them. They
know that He is the believers' friend and
helper, that He is infinitely merciful and
compassionate toward them, that He has sent
glad tidings to His righteous servants of a
great reward both in this world and the next,
and that He never breaks His word. They see
that He wills only what is best and good for
them, that He opens the door of mercy and
guidance for them, and that He provides
endless opportunities to gain rewards.
And so believers who know this are in a
constant state of hopefulness toward our
Lord, hoping for the best and the good from
Him in both this world and the next. Several
Qur'anic verses mention how Allah gives
believers a good reward and offers them glad
tidings of grace, favor, and mercy.
The believers' prayers and wishes are full of
hope. As one verse says, "they call upon their
Lord in fear and ardent hope" (Surat as-Sajda,
16). Since prayer itself is both a form of
worship and an indication of a hopeful
attitude toward Allah, believers pray in the
hope that our Lord will answer their prayers.

Du’aa is like a weapon, and a weapon is only
as good as the person who is using it; it is
not merely the matter of how sharp it is. If the
weapon is perfect and free of faults, and the
arm of the person using it is strong, and
there is nothing stopping him, then he can lay
waste the enemy. But if any of these three
features is lacking, then the effect will be
lacking accordingly.

A Checklist For Ramadan
1. Ask Allah to enable you to reach Ramadan
and to get the most out of it as the Salaf (early
generation of pious people) used to do.
2. Intend to fast every day with Iman and
pure intention seeking the reward from Allah
alone. The Prophet peace be upon him said,
“Whoever fasts in Ramadan with Iman and
seeking reward (from Allah) his past sins will
be forgiven”. (Bukhari)
3. Read the whole Qur’an at least once as the
Prophet peace be upon him did.
4. Have Suhoor as the Prophet peace be upon
him said, “Have Suhoor because it is blessed”.
5. Make Du’a during the fast because the
Prophet peace be upon him said that three
people’s supplication is not rejected one of
them is the fasting person. Ask for the good
of this life and the next for yourself, your
family and Muslims in general.
6. Make Dua before opening the fast. The
Prophet peace be upon him said, “The fasting
person has a supplication that is answered
when he opens his fast”.
7. Give Sadaqah and be good to people. The
Prophet peace be upon him was the most
generous of people and he was most
generous in Ramadan.
8. Avoid anything that diminishes the fast
such as, lying, backbiting, cheating, getting
angry. The Prophet peace be upon him said
“Whoever does not give up false statements
(i.e. telling lies), and evil deeds, and speaking
bad words to others, Allah is not in need of
his (fasting) leaving his food and
drink.” [Bukhari]
9. Do not eat too much after Iftar.
10. Ask for forgiveness since this is the month
Allah frees people from the fire.
11. Pray At-Tarawih with Khushoo. If you pray
in the Masjid complete the Salah with the
Imam. If you pray at home prolong the Salah
as long as you can. The Prophet peace be
upon him said, “Whoever prays during
Ramadan with Iman and seeking reward
(from Allah) his past sins will be forgiven”.
12. Feed the poor and invite others for Iftar.
The Prophet peace be upon him said,
“Whoever gives Iftar to someone fasting he
will have the same reward without
decreasing the reward of the person fasting”.
13. Try harder the last ten nights especially
the odd nights. The prophet would strive in
Ramadan more than he would in any other
month and more so in the last ten days.
14. Say this Dua in the nights that Laitul-Qadr
is likely to fall on: Allhumma innaka afuwun
tuhibbul-afwa fa’fu anni (O Allah you are
Forgiving and love forgiveness so forgive me).
15. Ask Allah to accept all your good actions
during this month.
O you who believe, fasting is decreed for you,
as it was decreed for those before you, that
you may attain salvation. (Quran, 2:183)
1. Ask Allah to enable you to reach Ramadan
and to get the most out of it as the Salaf (early
generation of pious people) used to do.
2. Intend to fast every day with Iman and
pure intention seeking the reward from Allah
alone. The Prophet peace be upon him said,
“Whoever fasts in Ramadan with Iman and
seeking reward (from Allah) his past sins will
be forgiven”. (Bukhari)
3. Read the whole Qur’an at least once as the
Prophet peace be upon him did.
4. Have Suhoor as the Prophet peace be upon
him said, “Have Suhoor because it is blessed”.
5. Make Du’a during the fast because the
Prophet peace be upon him said that three
people’s supplication is not rejected one of
them is the fasting person. Ask for the good
of this life and the next for yourself, your
family and Muslims in general.
6. Make Dua before opening the fast. The
Prophet peace be upon him said, “The fasting
person has a supplication that is answered
when he opens his fast”.
7. Give Sadaqah and be good to people. The
Prophet peace be upon him was the most
generous of people and he was most
generous in Ramadan.
8. Avoid anything that diminishes the fast
such as, lying, backbiting, cheating, getting
angry. The Prophet peace be upon him said
“Whoever does not give up false statements
(i.e. telling lies), and evil deeds, and speaking
bad words to others, Allah is not in need of
his (fasting) leaving his food and

He said, “Woe to you! Is your mother still

SPIRITUAL HEALING
Spiritual healing is the utilization of certain
formula by means of the agency…of the
purified breath and the soul of the ‘healer’
that causes the effects. The ‘healer’ may have
set in seclusion (not necessarily in the hills or
forests) for umpteen years…reciting a formula
containing Divine Attributes of GOD…fifty
million times or more…which enabled him to
heal another person!
The ‘healer’ may be seen mumbling
something and blowing his breath towards
the patient or into elements such as water…to
heal the patient! Yet, one cannot witness the
decades of preparation required to perform
such an act which is beyond layman’s
comprehension!
He does this ‘healing’ only after he is inspired
to do so…not at his own whims and fancies –
for it is never his intention to recite and to
become a healer…the purpose is to attain a
spiritual state he desired. The Power to Heal is
an add-on Blessing. These inspired
instructions are Divine callings which…only
people of spiritual discernment can
comprehend…the True Healers!!!

In Jannah, people will have different grades
according to the strength of their Belief and
love of Allah. Some people will be on a
position near that of the Prophets. May Allah
grant us such lofty places. Ameen
Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with

western horizon; such will be the difference
in superiority which some of them have over
others.'' The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was

Prophets which no one else will be able to
reach?'' He (PBUH) replied, "Yes, but by Him in

A religious muslim man once proposed to a
muslim woman for marriage. The woman
was taken aback.
Muslimah: You want to marry me? If I do not
know how to sew, or cook, or iron.. How am I
going to marry you?
Man: Do you know how to pray? Do you
worship Allah Subhana wa ta'ala without
associating with anyone?
Do you fast.
Do you discharge your Zakah?
Are you afraid of Allah?.
Muslimah: Yes, I pray every day, I love Allah
and no one else, I give charity whenever I can,
I fast and the one I fear is Allah
Man: *smiling* That's enough for me, I want
you to be the half of my Deen, not my maid ♥
Oh ALLAH grant us Pious spouses that will
help us earn your Happiness. That will help
guide us to Jannah. Aameen

Things worth crying for:
1) Letting a day (or days) pass by without
reading the book of Allah.
2) Lack of presence in prayer.
3) Not yearning for Paradise.
4) Fear of hell-fire, and punishment of the
grave & Sins.
5) Being distant from Allah and not doing
anything to get closer to Him.
6) Not knowing whether Allah has accepted
one’s deeds, or whether it has been
corrupted by ostentation.
7) Not worshiping Allah as He deserves to be

Three things you should never forget about:
1.If you are in salah protect your heart.
2.If you are in a gathering of people, protect

INSPIRATION
The Holy Quran is the last of the revelations
and Nabi Muhammad (saw) is the last
Prophet. The revelation has stopped… but
inspirations continue…till Yamul Qiyamah!
Those who recite the Quran without it going
any farther than their throats...that is the
Quran that descends upon tongues and not
upon hearts! Allah (swt) says: ‘The faithful
spirit descended with it (the Quran) upon
your heart (26:193). Such a man is he in
whom this descent causes an immeasurable
sweetness that surpasses all joy!
Allah (swt) answers the request addressed to
HIM – ‘Oh Lord, increase my
knowledge’ (20:114). The servant whose
inner light (al-basra) is enlightened – ‘he who
is guided by a light from HIS Lord’ (39:22) –
obtains with each recitation of a verse a new
understanding, distinct from that which he
had during the preceding recitation and that
he will obtain during the succeeding
recitation.
He whose understanding is identical in two
successive recitations is losing. He whose
understanding is new in each recitation is
winning. As for those who recite without
understanding anything…may GOD have
mercy on him!
Each time you search an ayat and if it gives
you the same meaning, then you are ‘brain-
dead’. The Al-Quran continues to give new
profound interpretations, thro’ inspirations,
to the seekers, each time he refers to the
same ayat. That’s the miracle of the
Quran.

GUIDANCE
Guidance is a light that GOD kindles in you
because you use your own free will in the
way of belief. Only GOD guides one to the
TRUTH…as pointed out repeatedly in the
Quran:
If GOD Willed…he could have brought them all
to the guidance (6:35)!
If it had been your Lord’s Will, all who are on
earth would have believed, altogether (10:99)
!
You do not guide whom you like, but GOD
guides whom HE Wills (28:56)…and for verily
you cannot make the dead to hear, nor can
you make the deaf to hear the call when they
have turned to flee. Nor can you guide the
blind out of their deviation.
You can make none to hear save those who
believe in OUR Revelation so that they
surrender and become Muslims! (30:52-3)

When she is not arguing, she is thinking

When she stares at you, she is wondering

When she calls you everyday, she wants to

When she sms's you everyday, she wants you

"Hijab" Two Little Girls.... Two little girls playing
in the sun
one wore a scarf, the other wore none.
...
"Why do you wear a scarf?" asked the one
without,
the other little girl said without a doubt "Allah
loves me to cover my hair
so that little boys won't stand and stare,
when I grow up what I really want to be
is a well dressed Muslim lady like my pretty
Mummy."

Many people have an attitude of getting closer
to
others only when they see material benefit for
themselves. Suddenly, when the tables turn
they either disappear
or may even cause harm. We are taught to be
careful of such people and never
allow ourselves to become similar. Never be
surprised when those you thought were
closest to you let you down! A handful of
genuine people is better than a city full
of fake friends!

1. ALLAH SAYS:
"PROSTRATE NOT TO THE SUN NOR TO THE
MOON, BUT PROSTRATE TO ALLAH WHO
CREATED THEM, IF YOU (REALLY) WORSHIP HIM."
(SURAH FUSSILAT 41:37)
This verse explains that in Islam, the
prostration is the right of the Creator only and
therefore, we should not prostrate to any
creature, be it the moon, the sun, a Prophet, a
saint, a jinn or any angel.

TAQWA: Fearing ALLAH(swt)
How to achieve TAQWA: Fearing Allah ?
Allah says: "O mankind! Worship your Lord,
Who created you and those who were before
you so that you may become al-
Muttaqoon." [Soorah al-Baqarah (2): 21]
Thus, Taqwa is the fruit of Eebadah (worship)
and and can only be achieved by performing
acts of Eebadah. Therefore we often find Allah
mentioning Taqwa with Eebadah, he said
regarding the fasts of Ramadaan: "O you who
believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was
prescribed for those before you, that you may
become muttaqoon (those who posses
Taqwa)." [Soorah al-Baqarah (2): 183]
Who is the most righteous?
Allah says: "And whosoever honors the
symbols of Allah, then it is truly from the piety
of the heart." [Soorah al-Hajj (22): 32]
Thus, Taqwa inhabits the heart and it is only
within the capability of Allah to know what
the hearts conceal. Therefore, judging
people's righteousness and spirituality is
beyond the ability of the slave, Allah pointed
out to this fact when he said: "There is
among people, he whose speech will dazzle
you in this life and he will claim that Allah is
witness (to the sincerity of) what is in his
heart, yet he will be among the most vicious
enemies (of mankind)." [Soorah al-Baqarah
(2): 204]
It is mentioned in the Qur'aan that Allah
chooses His Awliya (singular 'wali' ling.
meaning Friend) from His slaves based upon
their righteousness.
Allah mentioned the characteristics of His
Walee saying: "Verily, Awliya of Allah are those
who are not overcome by fear of grief; they
are those who believe and have
Taqwa." [Soorah Yoonus (10): 62-63]
and: "Verily, His close friends (Awliya) are only
those with Taqwa but most of them do not
realize it." [Soorah al-Anfaal (8): 34] Thus, a
Walee of Allah is he, who has Eeman, Taqwa
and fear of Allah.
Unfortunately, many Muslims have
exaggerated in this matter and specified
some individuals to be 'Awliya of Allah', while
assuming piety and righteousness for them.
This practice is incorrect because the
characteristics, which Allah mentions about
His Awliya (Eeman and Taqwa) are matters of
the heart and knowing them is beyond the
capability of the slaves. Also, because these
characteristics are present in every believer in
varying degree, therefore, to specify some
individuals to these qualities is unjust.
This practice of elevating people to specific
ranks of piety and giving them certain status
is a practice imported from Christianity and
Hinduism. It was the practice of the Christians
that they would elevate some individuals to
great ranks for whom they assumed
spirituality. And this was the main cause,
which destroyed their religion.
It is also seen that tombs are built at the
graves of these so-called 'Awliya of Allah' and
prayers are directed to them, either believing
them to be intercessors or benefactors. This
practice is in complete contradiction to the
teachings of Islam. Islam teaches worship of
One True Lord and fearing Him alone.

How to achieve TAQWA: Fearing Allah ?
Allah says: "O mankind! Worship your Lord,
Who created you and those who were before
you so that you may become al-
Muttaqoon." [Soorah al-Baqarah (2): 21]
Thus, Taqwa is the fruit of Eebadah (worship)
and and can only be achieved by performing
acts of Eebadah. Therefore we often find Allah
mentioning Taqwa with Eebadah, he said
regarding the fasts of Ramadaan: "O you who
believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was
prescribed for those before you, that you may
become muttaqoon (those who posses
Taqwa)." [Soorah al-Baqarah (2): 183]
Who is the most righteous?
Allah says: "And whosoever honors the
symbols of Allah, then it is truly from the piety
of the heart." [Soorah al-Hajj (22): 32]
Thus, Taqwa inhabits the heart and it is only
within the capability of Allah to know what
the hearts conceal. Therefore, judging
people's righteousness and spirituality is
beyond the ability of the slave, Allah pointed
out to this fact when he said: "There is
among people, he whose speech will dazzle
you in this life and he will claim that Allah is
witness (to the sincerity of) what is in his
heart, yet he will be among the most vicious
enemies (of mankind)." [Soorah al-Baqarah
(2): 204]
It is mentioned in the Qur'aan that Allah
chooses His Awliya (singular 'wali' ling.
meaning Friend) from His slaves based upon
their righteousness.
Allah mentioned the characteristics of His
Walee saying: "Verily, Awliya of Allah are those
who are not overcome by fear of grief; they
are those who believe and have
Taqwa." [Soorah Yoonus (10): 62-63]
and: "Verily, His close friends (Awliya) are only

For all Muslim husbands!
" If you can’t love her in a jilbab/hijab/niqab,
you can’t truly love her in anything else either.
She will be most beautiful to you when she is
obeying her Lord. She will be the most
beautiful when she is trying to make her way
to Jannah.
And if you can’t see the beauty in that, then
your perspective of beauty is distorted. If you
can’t love her enough to help her attain
Jannah, then perhaps you don’t love her at
all !!!"

SOME METHODS DERIVED FROM THE ABOVE
MENTIONED MARRIAGE
1. The many customs as regards engagement
are contrary to the Sunnah. In fact, many are
against the Shariah and are regarded sins. A
verbal proposal and answer is sufficient.
2. To unnecessarily delay Nikah of both the
boy and the girl after having reached the age
of marriage is incorrect.
3. There is nothing wrong in inviting one’s
close associates for the occasion of Nikah.
However, no special pains should be taken in
gathering the people from far off places.
4. It is appropriate that the bridegroom be a
few years older than the bride.
5. If the father of the girl is an Aalim or pious
and capable of performing Nikah, then he
should himself solemnise the marriage.
6. It is better to give the Mahr Faatimi and one
should endeavour to do so. But if one does
not have the means then there is nothing
wrong in giving less.
7. It is totally un-Islamic for those, who do not
possess the means, to incur debts in order to
have grandiose weddings.
8. It is fallacy to think that one’s respect will
be lost if one does not hold an extravagant
wedding and invite many people. What is our
respect compared to that of Rasulullah
(Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam)?
9. The present day practice of the
intermingling of sexes is an act of sin and
totally against Shariah.
10. There is nothing such as engagement
parties and Medhi parties in Islam.
11. Great care must be taken as regards to
Salaat on occasions of marriage by all – the
bride, the bridegroom and all the participants.
12. It is un-Islamic to display the bride on
stage.
13. The unnecessary expenses incurred by
the bride’s family in holding a feast has no
basis in Shariah.
14. For the engaged couple to meet at a
public gathering where the boy holds the
girl’s hand and slips a ring on her finger is a
violation of the Qur’anic law of Hijaab.
15. It is un-Islamic for the engaged couple to
meet each other and also go out together.
16. Three things should be borne in mind
when giving one’s daughter gifts and
presents at the time of Nikah:
* Presents should be given within one’s
means (it is not permissible to take loans, on
interest for such presents);
* To give necessary items;
* A show should not be made of whatever is
given.
17. It is Sunnat for the bridegroom’s family to
make Walimah.
Note: In Walimah, whatever is easily available
should be fed to the people and care should
be taken that the is no extravagance, show
and that no debts are incurred in the process.
18. To delay Nikah after the engagement is
un-Islamic.
SOME CUSTOMS
In aping Western methods sheepishly,
Muslims have adopted many customs which
are un-Islamic and frowned upon.
Some examples are:
* Displaying the bride on stage;
* Inviting guests for the wedding from far off
places;
* Receiving guests in the hall;
* The bride’s people incurring unnecessary
expenses by holding a feast which has no
basis in Shariah. We should remember that
Walimah is the feast arranged by the
bridegroom after the marriage is
consummated.
* It is contrary to Sunnah (and the practice of
some non-Muslim tribes in India) to wish,
hope for or demand presents and gifts for
the bridegroom, from the bride’s people. We
should always remember that our Nabi
(Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) did not give Ali
(Radhiallaahu Anhu) anything except Dua.
JazaakAllahu khayran.

A LOVE LETTER from a Muslim man to
the girl he LOVES:
“If you love me, don’t confess your love
to me, this won’t please me and will
keep me away! Love words don’t attract
me. If you love me, wait for me and I will
knock on your door in the right time.
Don’t give me privileges which I don’t
deserve. Keep me away from you, and I
will approach you. If you approach me, I
will stay away from you. Don’t love me,
for I want you ignorant in love. I want to
teach you love when the right time
comes and you will be my Halal, only
when we are joined together under our
Creator’s satisfaction.
Don’t tell me what you feel, don’t give
me from your time; don’t push me to
lose you. I am a man who won’t accept
to see the one he loves committing sins
or to live a forbidden love behind the
back of her family. I don’t want her to
feel guilty and don’t want her heart to
suffer.
Put limits to me that I won’t cross, kill
me inside you so I won’t grow to kill you.
Preserve what is beautiful inside you. I
want you innocent, chaste, pure. I want
you dear, not easy. And then, only then,
I will face everything and will be ready
to go through difficulties to get you.
How could I be a faithful man to you
when I try to break your chastity? How
would I be faithful to you if I push you
to betray your family? How could I trust
a love which grew under Allah’s wrath?
To love you means to protect you, to
preserve you not to kill what is
beautiful in you.
Don’t be easy because then, I may not
value you. Don’t love me now, so I won’t
hate you! My heart wants you and
doesn’t want to lose you. I don’t want
you to be just a passing fancy to me, I
want you a wife, a lover, the mother of
my children, I want you to be the one I
will spend my whole life with."
Oh ALLAH grant us a pious spouse.
Aameen.

"On the Day of Resurrection the Believers will
assemble and say, 'Let us ask somebody to
intercede for us with our Lord.' So they will
go to Adam and say, 'You are the father of all
the people, and Allah created you with His
Own Hands, and ordered the angels to
prostrate to you, and taught you the names of

You can kill a Muslim, But u can't kill Islam.
Can anyone tell me why it is so hard to pray,
But easy to swear?
Why clubs are growing and mosque's are
shrinking?
Why is it so hard to post an Islamic status, But
easy to post gossip?
Why we can worship a celebrity, But not
Allah?
Gonna ignore this?

EARTHQUAKES’ MESSAGE AND HEAVY BURDENS
The Arabic word “zilzal” means “earthquake.”
The above verses are quoted from the sura
The Earthquake. These verses are believed to
refer justifiably to the earthquake expected to
occur in the end of the world; however, we
should take due notice of its wider sense,
depicting earthquakes in general. The fourth
verse announces that men will be informed
on that day. A terrible disaster like an
earthquake associates in one’s mind
destruction in the first place causing material
damage and bodily injury, leading to a
general terror and panic. This announcement
must have astounded the public.
When the earth is severely quaked. (99:1)
And the earth throws out its heavy burdens.
(99:2)
And man enquires, “What has come over
it?” (99:3)
On that day, it will tell its information. (99:4)
To establish a link between earthquakes and
knowledge of certain facts seemed
inconceivable to people up until the last
century. Today we have a great many data in
our possession regarding the ground
beneath our feet, thanks to earthquakes. The
shortest radius we could draw from where
we might be to the center of the earth is
longer than 6000 km, a distance we can
never cover. Yes, an earthquake provides
information about that portion of the earth
inaccessible to us. (During the earthquake to
take place at the end of the world, it is
possible that men will be further enlightened
on subjects beyond His prediction. We
certainly do not assert that the verse’s
meaning is limited to our interpretation.)
BURDENS OF THE EARTH
The second verse of the sura Earthquake is
interesting in that it refers to the burdens of
the earth. Years have gone by and men have
failed to understand what those burdens
might be. The widely accepted interpretation
was that the sura referred to the earthquake
that was going to take place at the end of the
world when the dead would be resurrected
and treasures hidden underground would
rise to the surface. No one could have
guessed that the ground beneath was
formed of dense and heavy matter that would
rise to the surface. References to earthquakes
in the Quran contribute to our better
appreciation of them. Let us not forget that
people believed at the time that the earth
rested on the horns of an ox or on a fish
whose tail, when it moved, produced
earthquakes (The commentary of Ibn Kethir is
an example). The fact that the Quran made no
reference to such false beliefs is another
indication of its miraculous character.
The more we know about the contents of the
Quran and about the universe, the more we
appreciate God’s artistry and the perfection of
his religion.
Say: “Are those who know equal to those
who do not know? Only men of
understanding take heed.” (39:9)

Whispers of Satan
Stay in your bed, don’t make a fuss.
Your prayers can wait; give in to your nafs.
What! Go to the mosque, the path you’ll pave?
Don’t bother, think of the gas you’ll save.
Why go the extra miles to be kind?
Don’t share that smile, they won’t mind!
Listen to your parents, why should you?
You’re big enough, don’t let them tell you
what to do!
Don’t look at those orphans, what could they
need?
You have your own problems, and family to
feed.
Wear good Hijab? Oh me, Oh my, you’ll be
targeted as a Muslim and put to shame.
Just wear no makeup, and dress simple and
plain.
Don’t worry about Jannah, your place is
reserved.
I promise you’ll get all you deserve.
Preach about Islam, and be nice?
Listen to me, and take my advice!!!
Don’t fast during Ramadan, you’ll feel dead.
Don’t go for Hajj, the heat you’ll dread.
Why give charity, or feed the poor?
Don’t do it I say, They’ll just ask for more.
Don’t visit the Muslims, they’ll bite your back.
Don’t stop your work for prayer, it’s money
you lack.
Then he makes you hoard your wealth.
He thinks while he talks, and laughs to
himself.
You take me as your friend, and don’t give me
a fight.
I’ll take you to hell to gain respite.
On the judgement day we will meet.
Allah’s plan we can not defeat.
Shatan thinks and thinks of more to say.
Say A’ oothoo billahi, and make him run away.
Dear believer, don’t let shatan put you to the
test.
You can overcome him, just do your best.

MEMORIZATION OF QURAN
"And We (Allah) have made the Quran easy to
understand and remember, then is there any
that will receive admonition."(The Quran,
54:17)
One of the means through which Allah has
assured the protection of the Holy Quran is
the fact that He made the memorization of His
Book an easy task for the believers. In fact,
the Quran is the only religious Scripture that
is memorized by its followers. Innumerable
persons in every Muslim community have
memorized the whole Quran since the first
day it was revealed. Children as young as five
years old and men and women as old as 50
years memorize the whole Quran as part of
their love and devotion to the Book of Allah.
The one who memorizes the whole Quran is
known as a Hafiz. It is a miracle that the Hafiz
not only memorizes the entire text of the
Quran, but also the punctuation and diatrical
marks of each and every word and verse of
the Quran.
What is more amazing is that Muslims of
different languages are able to memorize the
whole Quran perfectly even though they do
not speak Arabic. The Quran is not a small
book containing few verses. Rather, it is a
book containing over 6,000 verses! It is a
miracle of the Quran that a Hafiz is able to
memorize all of these verses in order.

Women In Islam
In Islam, a Woman is always under the care of
someone.
When she’s young, she’s under the care of her
parents.
When she’s married, she’s under the care of
her husband. And when she’s old, she’s under
the care of her children. These are her
guardians and worldly protectors. Look at
how Allah takes care of them from birth till
death.

Narrated by Abu Huraira R.A. The Prophet
Salallahu Alyehe Wasallam said, "Allah likes
sneezing and dislikes yawning, so if someone
sneezes and then praises Allah (by saying
Alhamdulillah), then it is obligatory on every
Muslim who heard him, to say; May Allah be
merciful to you (Yar-Hamuk-Allah). But as
regards to yawning, it is from satan, so one
must try his best to stop it. If one says 'Ha'

A religious muslim man once proposed to a
muslim woman for marriage. The woman
was taken aback.
Muslimah: You want to marry me?
If I do not know how to sew, or cook, or
iron.. How am I going to marry you?
Man: Do you know how to pray? Do you
worship Allah subhana wa ta'ala without
associating with anyone? Do you fast.
Do you discharge your Zakah?
Are you afraid of Allah?
Muslimah: Yes, I pray every day, I love Allah
and no one else, I give charity whenever I can,
I fast and the one I fear is Allah
Man: *smiling* That's enough for me, I want
you to be the half of my Deen, not my maid

Learn to Write in the Sand
A story tells that two friends were walking
through the desert. During some point of the
journey they had an argument, and one
friend slapped the other one in the face.
The one who got slapped was hurt, but
without saying anything, wrote in the sand:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE
FACE.
They kept on walking until they found an
oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The
one who had been slapped got stuck in the
mire and started drowning, but the friend
saved him.
After he recovered from the near drowning,
he carved on a stone: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND
SAVED MY LIFE.
The friend who had slapped and saved his
best friend asked him, “After I hurt you, you
wrote in the sand and now, you carve on a
stone, why?”
The other friend replied “When someone
hurts us we should write it down in sand
where winds of forgiveness can erase it
away.
But, when someone does something good for
us, we must engrave it in stone where no
wind can ever erase it.”

Status of Women in Islam
"Why is it that so many women who have
been born and brought in Europe and
America are willing to reject their 'liberty' and
'independence' to embrace a religion that
supposedly oppresses them and is widely
assumed to be prejudicial to them?" This is a
question that I found on one of the sites
while surfing around, and I found it an
interesting question and which I'd like to
draw this article around.
Can Islam be prejudiced to women, and yet
appeal to women? Can Islam lower the status
of a woman and still have more women
embracing it as their way of life than men?
According to an article written by Lucy
Berrington in the Times Magazine (London)
dated 9th Nov. 1993: "It is even more ironic
that most British converts should be women,
given the widespread view in the west that
Islam treats women poorly. In the United
States, women converts outnumber men by
four to one, and in Britain make up the bulk
of the estimated 10, 000 to 20, 000 converts,
forming part of a Muslim community of 1 to
1.5 million "
How can the case of those women be
explained?! Well, I could say that there are
only one of two choices that one can decide
upon. Either all those women who choose
Islam don't know what they are doing or that
they discovered Islam is not prejudice to them
as others have yet to discover. New convert to
Islam since September 11, US Navy petty
officer, Heather Ramaha. "Islam gives us
Elevation; not Degradation"
In the Noble Quran Allah (Arabic word for
God) says:
"Mankind! We have created you from a male
and a female, and made you into nations and
tribes, that you may know one another. Verily,
the most honorable of you in the Sight of
Allah is the believer who has Taqwa (i.e. piety
and righteousness)and loves Allah most.
Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware." The
Holy Qur'an(49:13)
"I shall not lose sight of the labor of any of
you who labors in My way, be it man or
woman; each of you is equal to the other. The
Holy Qur'an(3:195)"
On the light of those verses, Islam declares
that it has not come to disadvantage women,
but in fact has been revealed to elevate
women ever since 1400 years ago, when
women in many parts of the world and
especially in the western societies were
considered objects that are owned and with
little to no rights in the society they live in.
Before any other religion or system in the
world Islam gave a woman the right to
inherit, the right to vote and voice her
opinion, the right to trade invest and improve
herself financially, the right to own - buy and
sell, the right to seek knowledge and have a
good education, the right to work and has
even gone further to oblige the males in every
stage of her life, whether it was a father,
brother or husband ... It's their duty before
God to take care of her, to spend on her, to
provide her with the food , clothing and
shelter that she needs, to provide her with a
good education, to protect her from anything
that can harm her and to never hesitate to
put their lives in stake for her if the need calls
them to do so. "As a modern westerner with
a career, of course I had to look into Islam's
attitude to women - I couldn't be oppressed
all of a sudden. But I discovered that it is pro-
women and pro-men; in Islam, women had
the right to vote in the year 600. Men dress
modestly, women dress modestly; neither
should flirt with the eyes, but rather they
should lower their gaze. I think it's unhealthy
to flaunt your sexuality - it attracts the wrong
energy back." (MTV Presenter Kristiane Backer
after being a Muslim) "Since I called myself a
feminist, my early reading centered around
women in Islam. I thought Islam oppressed
women. In my Women's Studies courses I had
read about Muslim women who were not
allowed to leave their homes and were forced
to cover their heads. Of course I saw hijab as
an oppressive tool imposed by men rather
than as an expression of self-respect and
dignity. What I discovered in my readings
surprised me. Islam not only does not
oppress women, but actually liberates them,
having given them rights in the 6th century
that we have only gained in this century in
this country: the right to own property and
wealth and to maintain that in her name after
marriage; the right to vote; and the right to
divorce." (Karima Slack, an American feminist
from secular humanism to Islam)
Some Muslim societies today lack those values.
Some people may rightly ask then, why do we
see some Muslim societies lacking those
values? There is a beautiful and very true
example I heard from a lecture by an
American Muslim called Khaled Yaseen, who
said that every person can be a father; but if a
father does not turn out to be a good father
then it's not fatherhood that we would blame.
Similarly, Islam is a rule and order. A Muslim
who does not act according to that rule and
order then by all means its not Islam that
should carry the blame.
Karla, a young Blonde haired Blue eyed young
American from Washington DC who is a
recent convert to Islam said in an interview
made with her: The main question people
seem to ask, is "How could you, an educated
American woman convert to Islam--a religion
that oppresses women?" They are quick to try
and equate the rights of women in
Afghanistan with the rights of Muslim women
everywhere. Basically, what I tell them, is that
the Qur'an gives women more rights than the
Bible does--in print. That was one of the
things that first drew me to Islam.
Unfortunately today, Islam is no longer the
leader in women's rights. I had a choice--
deny what I believe (i.e. that There is only one
God, and that Muhammed is a Prophet of God)
...or accept what I believe, but work to change
the problems that exist within the Muslim
community. I chose the latter.
In the world today, one could say that the
Taliban government in Afghanistan have been
considered as the top example of Women
Oppression in Islam. But what's ironic is that
even when a woman falls captive in the hands
of those supposedly most hateful men in the
world, Islam does not fail to win her heart.
Yvonne Ridley is an award-winning journalist
of more than 25 years standing and author of
two books, In The Hands of the Taliban and
Ticket to Paradise. She has spent the last 10
years working for several prestigious Fleet
Street newspapers including The Sunday
Times, The Observer, The Independent on
Sunday and The Sunday Express. She has also
expanded into television and radio producing
several documentaries from Iraq and
Afghanistan. Yvonne hit the headlines in
September 2001 when while working for the
Daily Express she crossed illegally into
Afghanistan and was subsequently held
captive by the Taliban for 11 days. Following
her release, she read the Qur'an as she had
agreed to during her captivity, and converted
to Islam in the summer of 2003.
Last but not least I would like to conclude by
the blessed sayings of Prophet Muhammad
peace be upon him:
"It is the generous (in character) who is good
to women, and it is the wicked who insults
them."
"The most perfect believers are the best in
conduct and best of you are those who are
best to their wives."
"Treat your women well and be kind to them
for they are your partners and committed
helpers."

A "miracle" baby has brought hope to
people in Russia's mostly Muslim southern
fringe who are increasingly desperate in the
face of Islamist violence.
Thousands of pilgrims queued up this week
in blazing sunshine to get a glimpse of 9-
month-old baby Ali Yakubov, on whose body
verses from the Koran are said to appear
and fade every few days.
Pinkish in colour and several centimetres
high, the Koranic verse "Be grateful to Allah"
was printed on the infant's right leg in
clearly legible Arabic script this week,
religious leaders said. Visiting foreign
journalists later saw a single letter after the
rest had vanished.
"The fact that this miracle happened here is
a signal to us to take the lead and help our
brothers and sisters find peace," said Sagid
Murtazaliyev, head of the Kizlyar region
about 100 miles north of Makhachkala, the
sprawling Dagestani capital on the Caspian
Sea.
"We must not forget there is a war going on
here," he told Muslim leaders who had
invited the press to witness what they claim
is a sign from God.
Islam in Russia is widely believed to have
originated in ethnically rich Dagestan, where
3 million people speak over 30 languages
and whose ancient walled city of Derbent
claims to be Russia's oldest city.
A spate of recent suicide bombs and armed
attacks on police and security services in
Dagestan, Ingushetia and neighbouring
Chechnya, where Russia has fought two
separatist wars, has shattered a few years
of relative calm in the North Caucasus.
Up to 2,000 pilgrims come daily to see the
blue-eyed baby, whose pink brick house has
become a shrine.
Green satin flags mark the way to the baby's
modest family home in Kizlyar, a small town
of lime-coloured mosques, cornfields and
dirt roads whose dust bellows into the sky.
Dagestan's omnipresent armed police patrol
the house while imams change photos of
Yakubov's arms and legs covered in Arabic
script from previous episodes to both
jubilation and wails from the bustling
crowd.
They say the fact Yakubov's 27-year-old
father Shamil works in the police force - a
regular target by militants - is proof of
divine intervention.
Sayid Amirov, Makhachkala's influential
mayor who has survived around a dozen
attacks on his life since the mid-1990s,
interpreted the recent buzz around the baby
as a warning.
"What happened here is indeed a miracle,
but this should also be a message to not
take religion too far," he told reporters.
Authorities say Islamist extremism is as
responsible for the growing violence as
widespread poverty, and experts add the
insurgency is also recruiting foreign al-
Qaeda militants who seek an Islamic state in
the north Caucasus.
Holding up his right foot where a single
Arabic letter remained from the latest
episode, Yakubov's 26-year-old mother
Madina said she had no doubt the verses -
which first appeared two weeks after birth -
were connected to extremism.
"Allah is great and he sent me my miracle
child to keep our people safe," she told
Reuters.
Though divine "miracles" are common in
Christianity - such as weeping icons and
stigmata, bleeding wounds in the hands and
feet similar to those of Christ - Islam rarely
reports them.

Reuters.
Though divine "miracles" are common in
Christianity - such as weeping icons and
stigmata, bleeding wounds in the hands and
feet similar to those of Christ - Islam rarely
reports them.

reported that the Prophet (peace be upon

Day of Judgement, and it will say, "O my Lord!
Adorn him (the one who read and practices
it)!" So he will be adorned with a crown of
glory and honour. It will then say, "O my Lord!
Increase this!" So he will be clothed with the
clothes of glory and honour. Then it will say,
"O my Lord! Be pleased with him!" So He
(Allah) will be pleased with him. It will be said,
"Recite! And Rise!" And every verse he recites
will bles him with a good deed." (At-Tirmidhi)

We Cannot Expect For ALLAH's Forgiveness
Unless We Also Forgive Those Who Do Wrong
To Us. Forgiving Each Other, Even Forgiving
One's Enemies Is One Of The Most Important
Islamic Teaching.
ALLAH Says In The Quran: Those Who Avoid
Major Sins And Acts Of Indecencies And When
They Are Angry They Forgive
(Al-Shura 42:37).
The Messenger Of ALLAH Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam Said: The Best Deed Before ALLAH Is
To Pardon A Person Who Has Wronged You,
To Show Affection For Relatives Who Have
Broken Ties With You, And To Act Generously
Towards A Person Who Has Deprived You.
Thereafter He Recited The Following Holy
Verses: Turn To Forgiveness And Enjoin Good
And Turn Aside From Ignorant (7:199).
Qatadah Was Asked, Which Person Has The
Highest Standing ? He Replied, The One Most
Abundant In His Pardon.
And The Great Reward Given To The One Who
Is Forgiving And Pardons Others...
The Messenger Of ALLAH (Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam) Was Seated In A Gathering With
The Sahabah When He Looked Towards The
Entrance And Said, A Man Of Paradise Is
Coming. At That Instance Someone Who
Seemed To Be Very Ordinary Entered The
Masjid Where They Were Seated. A Sahabi Was
Curious As To Why The Prophet (Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam). Said This, So He Followed The
Man To His House. This Sahabi Told The Man
That He Was A Traveler And Stayed As A Guest.
For Three Days The Sahabi Saw Nothing
Unusual, So He Finally Told The Man What The
Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Had Said
And Asked Him What Was So Special. The Man
Thought For A Long Time And Said, There
Might Be One Thing — Before Going To Sleep
Every Night I Forgive Everyone And Sleep With
A Clean Heart.
So In Sha Allah When Someone Hurts Us, Let
Us Try To Meet Their Oppression With
Kindness And Forgive Them, Even If They Are
Not Sorry.
May ALLAH Give Us All The Ability To Forgive
Others For The Wrong They Do To Us, And May
ALLAH Forgive Us All For Our Sins -
Ameen

As salaam walaikum,
"Where two oceans(the salt water and the
fresh water) meet but do not mix!"
Allah says in the Qur'an, "He released the two
seas(the salt and the fresh), meeting [side by
side]; Between them is a barrier [so] neither
of them transgresses. So which of the favors
of your Lord would you deny?" [Qur'an, Surah
Ar-Rahman, Verses no. 19-21]
This scientific phenonmenon mentioned in
the Qur’an was also confirmed by Dr. William
Hay who is a well-known marine scientist and
Professor of Geological Sciences at the
University of Colorado, U.S.A. The barrier has a
different salinity and density from both the
seas. Where two oceans meet but dont mix is
Cape Agulhas, South Africa and another place
is Gibraltar, where the Atlantic Ocean meets
the Mediterranean Sea. This phenomenon also
occurs in several other places, including Egypt,
wherethe river Nile flows into the
Medierranean Sea... :)
It’s amazing how, this was recently
discovered by Oceanographers (if that’s what
you call them) and was stated in
the Quran, 1400 years ago. And Allah knows
best.
So, I'm asking you, "Which of the favors of
your Lord would you deny?" :)
Jazak Allahu Khairan! :)

========== Bride-Price / Dowry for a poor
man ============
One day, a woman came to see the Prophet of
Allah [PBUH= Allah's blessings and Peace be
upon him] and said: "Oh! Messenger of Allah!
I do not have a husband and I want to be a
good wife; i give myself to you."
The Messenger of Allah [PBUH] kept silent for
a long while.
Suddenly, a man who was present stood up
and asked if the woman would accept him for
a husband.
The Messenger of Allah [PBUH] said: "Do you
have anything to give her as a dowry."
The man thought and said: "I have half of my
cloth," and indeed he was wearing a single
cloth around him.
"If you give her part of this cloth, you will
have nothing to wear anymore; it will become
her possession. Find something else." Since at
this time the followers of Islam and the
Prophet himself [PBUH] were poor, the man
thought again a long time and declared: "No, I
do not possess a thing to give her."
The Messenger of Allah then told him: "Go to
your house and look for something, even if it
is an iron ring."
The man departed and came back a while
later, and declared: "I looked everywhere, but
I did not find anything to give her as her
dowry."
After reflection, the Prophet of Allah [PBUH]
said: "Did you learn some of the Qur'an?"
"Yes, I have learned by heart so-and-so Surahs
[chapters of the Qur'an]"
The Messenger of Alah [PBUH] therefore
declared: "Teach her what you know of the
Qur'an, and this will constitute her dowry."
The couple felt contented with what was
proposed, and they got married.
man ============
One day, a woman came to see the Prophet of
Allah [PBUH= Allah's blessings and Peace be
upon him] and said: "Oh!
